| Finally! ok- currently i have been taking maisy outside downstairs all the time for her to go potty! well..i have just finished cleaning my balcony porch wich is enclosed so that she can't escape..it is like 4 and a half feet tall so she can't jump over the top either. well, i was thinking of putting some squares of grass down on the balcony ground so that i can just open my door and she will go potty out there! it would be soo much easier! well i was looking for opinions on what grass to use..like should i go buy some squares of regular grass from Home Depot or go to a pet store & get special grass? also does anyone here use grass squares & do you have to buy new ones often if they get too poopy? i kno wthat she will fertilize them keeping them healthy but won't they eventually get too poopy? and do you think we should keep the grass on trays of some sort? |

| There is a company that is charging hugh bucks doing what you are talking about for inside and what they do is mail new grass every 3 weeks. I am sure they have to do this as the urine will kill the grass after awhile. You still should pick up the poop just like people do in their backyards. I don't think it makes a hill of beans difference what kind of grass you buy. Somebody posted this system but for the life of me I can't find it.

| You could get a tray, one that has a slight lip to it. Place a little soil on the bottom, this will help the grass thrive, and then place the grass on top. Pick up the poop daily, and try to water the grass regularly. Watering it will help keep the urine smell down as well as dilute it. It will soak up alot of water, remember that it doesn't have a huge soil base to pull water from. It should thrive pretty good.
