| Hello, New Yorkie family here Hello, everyone I came here to connect with others that have Yorkies and to seek some advice. For lack of better words we rescued a 15wk old yorkie pup today. I responded to what I figured was a scam ad, talked with the person via text and then drove 3hrs to get our new little girl we're calling Kiki. I say rescue because of the situation she was in,though I'm not sure of it all basically she's been eating scraps for a week now because something happened and the young girl I got her from had no car, money, etc. The girl wasn't asking for money only a home for her pup because she knew it was starving. We met the girl in a public park close to several apartment complexes, the puppy had what appeared to be a new pink crate that was spotless, a pink bed, toys etc. She even had vet records, it was obvious she truly loved her puppy. We insisted she took some money because I actually worried she had no food for herself. Brought the little one home, stopped by the vet just for a check up,just in case there was something wrong.. She'd been seen at the owners vet last week and was 3.2 today she is 2lb 7oz. My vet was a little concerned by said it was probably due to lack of food as nothing showed up in the stool and he called the other vet and found the pup had always been healthy. I'm feeding her Nature's Variety puppy, she wants table food but I'm not going to give in. Sorry for the long post. I just wanted to share our story. |
