| Help I joined last year when I got my little yorkie, I am hopeless with this high tec stuff and had not been able to find thread.. understand tags..not a clue on trackback...in fact I dont even know where I am sending this!!!if anywhere!!! The thing is I have been on holiday first time I have left my little fellow, and have come back to him holding is back right leg up when he is running not all the time, and he puts it down and walks fine, he is in no pain and I have checked for grit or a stone but nothing, he doesnt whelp of anything when I lift it and check, and he seems fine, but like I say every know and then he runs with it up, usually when he has cocked it up for a wee!! I dont know if I will get any answers as I dont know where to go to find them!!! |

| If he doesn't do it all the time, and it doesn't get worse he will probably be alright. If it doesn't get better in a few days or it gets worse have a vet look at it. |

| Not sure how long he's been doing it but if this is something new and he keeps doing it, I think it'd be best for you to have him looked at by the vet. Running requires more energy/strength so maybe that's why he only does it when running? |

| It sounds like it could be luxating patella. Holding the leg up does mean it hurts. He needs to go to a vet.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Yorkies are prone to LP (luxating patella), so I'd get your kiddo checked out at the vet - you want to get the LP graded if he has it. Also, check the paw thoroughly.
