YorkieTalk Newbie! | Advice on Housebreaking I have a new baby and her name is Darbee. She is 8 weeks old and I have had her one week. She is precious. Weighs 22 ozs. and full of life. Vet recommended she eat 4 small meals a day and that she does. I just need advice on housebreaking. I am crating her and she is doing great. Never eliminates in her crate and sleeps all night in it. I take her out to potty every time I get her out of her crate and she pees and poops outside but when we have play time there is no rhyme or reason when she will go again. We will have just been outside and she will dribble again on the floor. I watch her closely and try to take her out if I see she is sniffy and turning circles. I would appreciate advice and input on if I am doing it right. TIA |

| Sounds like you're doing things exactly right and you're paying attention to what she's telling you, good job! You sound like a very responsible and conscientious 'parent.' Sincere and happy congratulations on your darling Darby! Very cute name... |

| She's pretty young to expect much more than what she's doing. Sounds like you are doing everything you should as well. Just takes time and growing a bigger bladder. Haha! When my little girl was a baby I swear she went every 20 minutes during her awake times for the first months. Drove me crazy! |

| At 8 weeks they should still be with mom so that's pretty young to really expect to much out of her. She is also very tiny so probably has a very tiny bladder. Just be consistent and keep doing what your doing.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and welcome to YT ! You're doing a great job, and so is your little baby. It's unreal she is doing this good at such a young, young age...so just keep it up and she will get better and better at it.
