| New to YorkieTalk and New Yorkie Parent I'm a new Yorkie parent, I think. LOL. Graycie LOOKS like a Yorkie from what I can tell but her markings don't seem to be right and she has very coarse hair on her back. Her legs are more silvery and the hair is very soft. She always looks like she has had a bad hair day. I got her from a shelter and they felt she was "fairly full-blood" whatever that means. She is a awesome dog!!! They thought she might be close to 2 years but she is missing teeth and they are just coming in (molars) so in reading online I don't think she is that old. Any ideas on guessing what else she may have in her? I was told by a groomer that she may be part silkie & part wire haired??? I've had her about 3 weeks and she is so attached and protective of me already. When I began my search for a new fur-baby I was looking for a poodle or a pom but little did I know my perfect match would end up being a little "bad hair day" yorkie but I adore her!!! I appreciate any advice or tips anyone may have. Previously my dogs have been rescued on their way to the shelter so I was able to discuss details with the previous owners or one of my Eskies was a owner surrender so they left all of his history. This baby girl was wondering the streets with a white yorkie when they were picked up and someone else had already tagged the white one. So I have nothing about her. Thanks!!! |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and welcome! Bless your heart for taking her in, she sounds really special. It may help us guess her pedigree if you could attach a piccie maybe...?

| I saw a baby onesie that said "crazy hair don't care!" in it. You're bad hair day baby made me think of that. And welcome to YT!

| How wonderful that you two found one another; it's obvious that it doesn't matter to you "what" she is because you already fell in love! Anxious to see picture of your little love and all the best to you! Congratulations!! |

| It totally does not matter what she is other than curiosity. It was love at first site of the pic online & I took my father & my 11yo nephew because I wanted to make sure she was cool with them. She loves them!!! I also have nieces & nephews aged 7, 6 & 2 and Graycie adores them as much as they adore her. They "dog-sit" for me. Lol. Ok, let's see if I can figure pics. |

| Can you just imagine....your little sweetie + a white-haired Yorkie 'wandering the streets'....at this time of the year....makes my heart hurt God bless you for taking your little Graycie in to your loving home...she looks to me like she's got a lot of Yorkie in her - can't wait for some more piccies! Hugs from Sally + Harry xx

| There is at least some yorkie there in my opinion. It's awesome you rescued her! With small dogs is best to use a collar just for the tags and a harness when using the leash. She looks very comfortable and sweet.

| I'm so happy for you both, and welcome to YT! Sometimes the mom and dad can be 100% Yorkie, but throw some not so Yorkie looking puppies due to their background when the Yorkies were first being bred. They are a mix of Waterside and the rest are a bit unclear as to the origin. Your little girl is just adorable and I can't wait to see more pictures of her.

| Graycie isn't the easiest fur-baby to get good pics of. Lol. She sleeps and when she's awake she's on the move. Lol. |

| Hi, and welcome to YT, she does look like she has yorkie in her, sleepy puppy is kinda hard to really tell, but she sure is a little cutie. Thank you for rescuing her, she has found her furever home, bless you.

| I love that when she sleeps she's so relaxed and trusting that she appears to be boneless--just the cutest little ragdoll posture! |
