| Will you look at my puppy? Hi I posted about a week ago. I'm a first time yorkie mom! I got my little boy Reese at 8 weeks and he was around 3 lbs. he was 10 weeks yesterday and is now 4.1 pounds. I know that's huge for a yorkie. What's funny is he is "chubby" he is very short and and built small but is stalky and almost "fat" he is very healthy and has been vet checked twice since I have had him. I'm just wondering is he really pure yorkie?! I love him to pieces I'm going to post pictures and hope yorkie pros can tell me if he looks like a normal 10 week old yorkie? |

YT 500 Club Member | Yorkies come in all sizes. Just because he's not "standard" size doesn't mean he's not pure breed. Just more to love. My baby girl Prada is 8lbs and I was told she wouldn't be more than 5lbs. And she's pure breed |

| There are larger yorkies so just size is not a determining factor. Since you got your pup from a non reputable breeder ( reputable breeders keep pups until 12 weeks) then anything is possible. Is her registered? If so which registry?

| I have seen Yorkies that are quite large. My Yorkie is 6 lbs., which is about average, and people still ask if he's a "teacup". The original Yorkies, bred as ratters, were about 12 lbs. and bred down to be lapdogs. Like someone said, more to love! |

| He is CKC which I know means nothing! I was able to pick him up early because mom was taken away from puppies around 6 weeks because of refusal to nurse and aggression towards puppies. She couldn't be any where near them. She was extremely stressed. I added pictures of him to my profile under the album Reese 10 weeks and changed my picture to his 10 week picture. Thoughts? I also don't mind a larger yorkie I'm just curious what your thoughts on him? Thanks |

| Wish you would have had something in the picture that could have let the viewer understand better the size of Reese. Like a chair or something. He is precious. Love him no matter what his size. |

| Looks just like a Yorkie to me, too. Doesn't look that large either, to me. Abigail, our first was 10 lbs. Very good healthy size. Hermione - we are looking at 5-6lbs when grown. She's only 10 months old. |

| The Wolfman was 4lbs at 10 weeks. The vet said he would probably grow to 8-10 pounds. (He is 14 weeks now and hasn't been back to the vet yet, but he doesn't look a whole lot bigger yet. Maybe a pound bigger. |
