| A question about puppy coats? I am letting Esme's hair grow... (I think) Anyways, will we have to cut off the puppy coat?? Is there such a thing? Or does the hair just change as she gets older? I am a little bit confused about this. Also, the parts of her that are chaging color, will we have to cut the black off the tips eventually, or will it just lighten too? These might seem likes silly questions, but I am VERY confused! Thanks!

| Yorkies hair is much like humans. If you bleached your hair, then as the roots get your natural color, the bleached part continues to be on the ends. The ends stay blond until you cut it off. Same at a yorkie. The tips will stay black as the hair grows out and becomes gray/silver. But the texture may be different on the two because one is puppy hair and the other will be more like the adult texture. Hope this helps and makes sense. Cyndie Trevor's Mom |

| Gracie is shedding her puppy coat quickly! I brush her daily and get a brush full of puppy hair. I'd say keep brushing Esme (love that name!) and get all the puppy fur out!
