| Our Pee Pad Trained Yorkies DO NOT LIKE OUR NEW AREA RUG?? Hello Friends -- I could use a little advice. We have 2 yorkies littermates Sophia and Charlie Jr. They are 2 now . They are pretty much pee pad trained using the pads at least 90% of the time and other times go outside. They do have accidents too every now and then . We recently replaced a large area rug and they seem to really dislike the new one. They are marking it like crazy! They did not pee on the previous area rug so we thought we were good to go on a replacement. I am tempted to put a pee pad right in the middle of it, but am wondering if any members have advice to offer. Is there a good spray we can coat the area rug with to dissuade them from continuing to mark it? Thanks for your tips. |

| Good cleaning, don't know where it was made(India?), but could have all kinds of smells on it. Can you carpet clean it and rinse well, or just back yard hose it and leave it to sun dry(if that doesn't fade it), a good airing might get some of the smells out. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | That's odd that they didn't used to pee on the old one but are now going nuts w/ the new one...what a big bummer! You could try anti-marking spray / repellent spray - but I honestly don't know how that will work.
