| Kimchi's growing fast :D Her blonde is coming through more and she's getting fuzzier XD These pics were taken yesterday before I headed out to work. She's fattened up today, but she's also bigger. The bulging belly changes pretty quick depending on how long ago she just ate ^^; When I bathed her for the second time, I noticed the sink's faucet is a bit snug with her height along the back, whereas before (a couple of weeks ago) it had about 1/2 to 1 inch of space. Probably gonna have to use the bathtub next time I wash her, myself. I tried to use the hair dryer on her, but she didn't like it (might be because the dryer is pretty loud) ><;; I think I'll let the groomer do that bit or if it still traumatizes her a bit, perhaps request they just towel dry her. ^^; She does dry pretty fast on her own. When I take her to the vet tomorrow I bet she's gonna be around 2.5lbs, if not more depending on if she just ate (last time about 3 weeks ago she was 1.9lb). Since it's been so long since I had a puppy that's going through growth phases, I forget that they grow up literally so fast ^^ Her ears are still floppy (but may stand if she lays a certain way), so I might ask the vet about or if they could tape her ears for me ^^; I'd still love her with floppy ears, of course, but would hope they lift on their own eventually.

| Thanks She's been eating a good bit now, got to the vet this morning and she weighed in at 3.1lbs at 9 weeks. A decent bit from 1.9lbs at 6 weeks but she probably had some food in her belly cause she had eaten earlier. I was trying to estimate her adult weight (her dad's 5 lbs and her mom's 8 lbs) and found this nifty growth chart calculator at Looking for a Puppy Weight Chart? and according to it she'll be at around 8 lbs 2 ounces. So that sounds about right Just gonna have to make sure we don't over feed her (with treats particularly) ^^;; all dogs we've had seemed to be fated to be a bit on the chunky side at least once at some point in their lives X_x;

YT Addict | She's a cutie. Don't worry about her ears, they will come and go down for the next few weeks with the teething. Mine came up at 10 weeks then down for a week and back up again at 12 weeks. At 11 weeks they can start to get adult teeth and that is tough on them, the ears generally can go down but will come up and stay up eventually. Try rubbing th base of the ear helps to strengthen the cartilage. |
