| Hi welcome to YT. Mine both barked as pups. Have you asked your vet about this? Not sure where you bought her but have heard of some places that debark them .

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk. Many Yorkies are quiet, barkless, for their first 6 months to a year. Max was barkless for his first 6 months. Teddy was 8 months old when we brought him home and I think he only 'gurgle' growled for another year before he let out a bark (sounded like he was gargling mouthwash, and he still does it). It took another 2 years before he became a champion barker like his brother. You could video tape the sound she makes and show your vet to ease your mind. Post a video here too and maybe we can give you some insight.

| lol I also jokingly thought the same thing, mine is 3 y/o and barks if a fly flies over Alaska lol, and is a non stop talker, sometimes he sounds like a porpoise, but in all honesty, if I had a one year old dog that didn't bark, we would have been to the vet a longggg time ago.

| My Sophie barks when playing with us or when we take a trip in our Motor Home she has a window she likes to look out and if she something strange to her like a goose she will bark a little than but other than that she does not bark. She is 10 months old. I hope she stays that way it is so cute when she barks when you least expect it. |

| If you do decide to talk to your vet about her not barking for all this time would you please let us know what you found out? That is curious for sure. Hope there is nothing wrong. |
