|  yorkie care I have a yorkie that's 5 yrs old. I got it in my divorce and I am wondering is 5 yrs old to start brushing her teeth. Any help will be great. |

| I've always figured you should brush/clean their teeth pretty much throughout their lives. So better late than never, I say? ^^ Or at least get them some dental cleaning work at the vet, if it's bad enough.

If the teeth are bad right now, you truly need a dental to be done, otherwise you're looking at WAY more expensive issues down the line and potential bad health issues. Then maybe start a brushing routine after that. It's also good to give them challenging chews to gnaw on for their teeth (always give chews under supervision).
