Has anyone started using ProHeart6 yet? My vet wants me to try it. It is a 6-month injection that takes care of fleas and heartworm. I'd really like to hear experiences and advice.

No, and I'll never use it. It's been pulled off the market once already for killing dogs. I don't use anything 'new' on my pups... I want to see a proven track record of a product before I try it. I have dogs, not guinea pigs or lab rats.

I agree with this. It's a great concept, but until it has a better track record I'm too nervous to use it.

I think it is much safer to just go with the once a month Heartgard. It's been around for a very long time and is a trusted brand. I would never trust ProHeart after all of the deaths that occurred from it.

Wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole. Too many problems with it.
