Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | question about feeding Winnie will be here wendsday i called her breeder and ask him her feeding schedule and he told me he free feeds them. Should i keep free feeding her or put her on a schedule i will be starting back to school in the fall so i can kind of debating on which one? |

| If your puppy is under 3 pounds, I think I would continue free feeding. You can always go to scheduled feedings later, when your return to school.

| One other thought -- if you do decide to do scheduled feedings, start with 3 to 4 meals a day.

| As long as your puppy is doing well with free feeding I don't see any reason to change it. All of my dogs have been free fed dry food and given wet as a meal, none of them had any weight problems. |

| If you plan on house training your dog to go outside to potty, you need to schedule feedings, if you plan to use pee pads you can free feed. If a dog is not on a schedule you will not succeed in potty training outside. Water should always be available. |
