Yikes! Sticker shock from dog neuter prices. Plus with a yorkie, blood work first and pull baby teeth. I'm gonna have to find a second job because I adopted a Yorkie. Who would have known?

We could have told you... (JK) Also, plan ahead.... Yorkies need dentals every 1-2 years (on average) throughout their lives. Brushing teeth at home may help extend the time in between. At least the neuter/spay is a one time deal.

Maybe its different parts of the country. Our vet charged 125 for Laddy's neuter and teeth cleaning was included. Blood work was an additional 95. so was 220 total. Kyra for her spay dental and blood work was 375. Yearly dentals here are 200 per dog.

That is a very low price for cats! My cat was much more than that. I'm guessing they might be trying to control the overpopulation of kitties in your area.

that is really inexpensive for a cat and my vet charges more for spay/neuter on a dog. so not horrible imo.

I paid about that much for a spay with blood work and she received her microchip as well. It depends on the clinic you go to but don't go just by price. You need to know your vet has a good reputation and experience with toy dogs. Some vets just don't know the special needs of the tinier breeds. The toy dogs just can't be treated the same way as larger dogs.

we paid $120 for spayed, teeth cleaning. Lucky she didn't need any teeth pulled. We love our vet.
