| Do your Yorkies come to Thanksgiving with you? Charlie stays home for the first family. On our way to the second family we pick up Charlie and take him with us. My mom's dog is Charlies girlfriend (they can't make babies, so it's a safe relationship ). I say girlfriend because before they were fixed he used to go bizerk (sp?) around her. It's much better now. LOL. Anyway. He always has a blast over there. Glad I am able to take him to part of it. Last edited by Christinee; 11-28-2013 at 09:39 AM. |

| My baby goes everywhere with me, she is 6 months old so I don't leave her home. My inlaws adore her so they don't mind. |

YT 2000 Club Member | dog I leave JoJo and Spud at home. I wouldn't want them stepped on or perhaps my sister' couch peed on. JoJo may get a belly band for Christmas if he keeps peeing on the rug I lay down for Spud to sit on. Just have to laugh as my water bill goes up because of rug pee. |

| Dooney goes everywhere with me...I bring his sleepypod so he can sleep in when it gets too hectic, otherwise he's sleeping on my lap.

| Simba also got to see his girlfriend, Merce, today. We still had to take him out every hour to make sure he didn't have any chance to make an accident. Happy Thanksgiving!

| How fun. We had Thanksgiving at our house this year, so my two were definitely there. They enjoyed themselves and got a lot of attention.

| Thanksgiving was at our house this year,so along with our 5 furbabys we had a grandpup come to play and then later a family with two small children arrived. It was a bit nuts for several hours. Minna got a tummy ache from all of the noise so I gave her to daddy and asked him to take her to a separate room. They both needed a break from the noise. After everyone left I looked at the clock and it was 11:00. I gave each of the babys a tiny bite of pumpkin bread and they all passed out not even wanting anymore. Its been a big day. As for my babys getting to go to other family members houses for gatherings. No, they are not welcome. So I try to make sure that most of the family gatherings are at my house. |

| Yes, all four went with me to my daughter's house, and we all had a great time. They were well behaved, and always get along well with her 2 big dogs.

YT 3000 Club Member | chester went with me to two different friends house, and he was very nervous almost scared and he loves it at my friends and I figured out that when someone opens the front door, they have a alarm and it is a high pitched noise, so I sat with him while we were there, I had those noises as well |

| I had posted a thread about yorkies and kids because I was planning on going to one of my uncles houses and I was going to see a cousin, her husband and meet her two young children for the first time. The plans changed and now I'm staying here with all three of our dogs and our cat. In the long run, I guess that's okay. Cricket doesn't really know what To think about little kids. I have cousins on my mom's side that has 4 little kids and Cricket is kind of hesitant.........

| Thanksgiving was at my sisters this year. my mama was so excited to meet Yoshi. she made her a blanket. my little cousin is 2 and is afraid of her. he kicked her and i PUT HIM OUTSIDE IN THE COLD! and then i put him in the closet for a few seconds and he apologized. My sister has a 13 pound mix who she says we treat like a step dog now because Yoshi is here. so we let them both play for a few seconds and he couldnt keep his nose out of her but. then he started pouncing on her and i had to stop that immediatley. other wise it was pretty good. she was worn out on the way home |

| Charlie had a blast at my mom's. He was so pooped that he was passed out before we got home. My mom has a little black Pomeranian that is almost the exact size as Charlie and an even bigger personality. She doesn't like all dogs, but for some reason her and Charlie always hit it off. |

| Yup, we went to my dads this year, and that's basically his second home anyway (I don't have my own house, yet). So of course he went. He loves it over there.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | This year my daughter and I drove to Nashville from Northern Illinois to spend Thanksgiving with my sister. We were there for 4 days. She moved their last year. She said I was welcome to bring my 3 girls with. They had never been on a car ride longer than 45 minutes and never stayed at someone else's house. So I was very nervous. My sister and her husband have 2 cocker spaniels and one can be a little dog agrressive. The girls were the best behaved little guests. My brother, his GF and her 8 year old demon child were also there. My girls interacted with the cockers and they got a lot of attention from the adults too. On the 9.5 hour drive each way, Pixie and Roxie never made a peep in the crate and went potty when we stopped at rest areas. Cali would whine a little and my daughter would take her out of the crate and she would sleep on her lap for hours. My sister has a multi level house with lots of stairs. I live in a ranch house with no stairs so they never really learned to go up more than 2 stairs. Cali and Roxie learned to walk up the deck stairs. They were always locked in the play yard when we were gone so no access to stairs or the cockers unless we were present. They were little angels.
