| Zip is 5mos. Slow Hair Growth Our daughter gave us a puppy after we lost our KK. Since we didn't pick her out, we didn't get to see the parents. She is 5 mos. now. Long in her body and almost already 9lb! She looks totally Yorkie. My question is her hair doesn't seem to be growing very much. I did trim some wild puppy hairs, her face and her legs are thick but when does their coat really come in? Don't get me wrong! We adore her and she is so, so smart! Very Yorkie personality AND the stubborn streak! But she is absolutely adorable and has stolen our hearts and helped heal the grief we were experiencing. I just wanted some of your thoughts on puppy coat. |

YT 1000 Club Member | Congrats on your pup! Is there any way you could post pics? I've heard that "silky" coats grow a bit slow(er). I have a 5 and a month pup and his hair has grown only about an inch in the almost 3 months ive had him |

| I think she will be silky because from everything I've read on here, if they start out a little wiry, it will probably silky. It is changing and getting softer. Seeing more silver. We got her at 9 weeks and it has changed a lot since then. Will try to post a pic. When she is outside and the sun is shining on her she looks really silvery. Was just getting a little curious because I haven't had to trim her "skirt". |
