| unscrupulous breeders and rescues! working on a puppy mill pup, sold at a petstore and surrendered to a yorkie rescue in Tampa who then brought the dog to a breeder in seffner to "use for a few years"!!! OMG i am done. |

| How awful... You should post the name of the rescue so future rescuers are aware.

| i would but without proof..the petsitter was supposed to get me signed docs of the surrender to the yorkie rescue (the woman was actually asked to resign after a national news story last january about having 30 dogs in inhumane conditions that the other members supposedly didn't know anything about). The Breeder could sue me for libel and slander if i impacted her sales of puppies. With 5 breeding femaales she acquired recently, she'll be in the news too. The puppy is out of there since i yelled and called all the yorkie rescues, they sent the dog packing with the petsitter! that's a new low- putting a surrendered dog into that situation! bottom feeders!! the breeder is in Seffner and the rescue is in kissimee, florida! |

| it's all hearsay without the proof. the petsitter is someone i worked with for about a year in rescue but she stabbed me in the back (she'll say fear of the breeder) and told me that the Breeder gave her the dog. they're both claiming because the pup (who was in heat) was aggressive, which is b.s. because she wasn't aggressive for the 5 days the sitter was there and since she has another rescue that is, i doubt she would've taken her! . It's because i made so much noise but i asked her for the paperwork and she said she never got copies of it.......this breeder also went to a woman's house that had committed animal cruelty, and wanted to buy a small yorkie. she didn't care about anything except price and size but the dog was so fearful- the breeder thought the price was too high! WTH would breed a small dog, you know NOTHING about except that it's incredibly shy.....yorkie friends (i spoke with the pres who clued me in about the woman asked to leave the group) thinks this breeder walks on water so what can i say? i can't go behind the witch buying dogs from breeders and Rescues!! when you can't trust surrenderers (never could), adopters (will say what you want to hear) and now Rescues (will do anything unethical to get $$) as well as support breeders what can you do? check out www.yorkiefriends.com links.....it's even "teacup" breeders.....i have a page at www.yorkez.com because there are NO teacup yorkies!! |

| There are many great rescues out there....but there are also a lot of horrible ones as well. If you watch enough of Animal Cops on Animal Planet, you'll see all kinds of hoarders posing as "rescues" and they will have an overpopulation of animals that aren't cared for, living in deplorable conditions. I think some of the people really do think they are doing the right thing for the animals and then it gets out of control...but this particular rescue sounds like a scam. I've always been the one adopting, not surrendering, but if I were giving up my dog, I would make darn sure it went to a reputable rescue and I would probably want to be involved in the adoption process to make sure my babies got the best home they could. |

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | That poor baby, its just so sad the way he is being tossed around from place to place, no one to care for or love him, only to be used in that way. What is this world coming to when these sorts of things are taking place and the people that should be caring for them are just pimping this little fella out. Such a shame !

| Does fl have any laws for rescues? In ca any animal adopted from a rescue or shelter legally has to be neutered or spayed. If we get a purebreed we may adopt it out before it is altered but they can't take possession of the animal until it is. Usually we have the dog altered as soon as possible. Some could probably use more time for adjustment but I'd rather have them altered before any more babies are made. |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I'm torn between thinking this thread was started for "drama" purposes & wanting to know more since I would not want to support those who truly don't deserve that support.
