| Thunder Coat? Our 2 yorkies, Abbie & Max, are terrified of thunder, lightening, fireworks, etc. Max just starts shaking when it rains! Has anyone tried the Thunder coat or sweater? I usually wrap Max in his "binkie quilt"... |

| I recently got Billi a Thundershirt to help her with her fear of noises. We're taking her & the rest of our family's dogs to Sand Mountain and anyone who's been there can attest it gets loud & it's constant- even at 4 am you'll hear quads and sand rails off in the distance. I'm afraid for Billi- she'll be a mess! So far she's had it on twice. She doesn't seem to move much in it, which is weird considering she's worn clothes before and I've put it on loosely both times... I did read it takes a few times for it to "work" so I'll be patient. If I don't see an improvement on our trip, I'll send it back. It's either a godsend for dogs or a dud, apparently. I think if Max is used to being wrapped up anyway, then your likelyhood of it working greatly improves.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I use it for Pixie. She became afraid of thunder and then progressed to being afraid of rain, airplanes overhead etc. The thunder shirt helps somewhat. It worked better in the beginning when she was just afraid of thunder. It usually stops the shaking but she still pants and acts frantic. I had to put her on medicines for awhile but weaned her off. I think you need to have the thunder shirt pulled pretty tight to work.

| Tibbe went through a bad spell with fear when he was sick this spring when some of his old fears he had when I first got him seemed to return in part and I got him one. It just mostly put him to sleep when I put it on him. He just chilled right out and laid down, slept. We had some thunder the other night and he looked at me with big eyes and I was almost asleep, didn't want to go into all the distraction work and just put his Thunder shirt on. Next thing I know he was barking at the thunder, challenging it and then he just curled right up to sleep with me and I later woke up and took it off. It's been a glorious success for Tibbe. And he usually hates any clothing like sweaters, etc., but he doesn't mind the T-shirt at all.

| It worked great for Teddy Bear but he doesn't seem to need it much anymore. Now he lays down next to me and I tell him good boy and then I ignore him. I think I was giving into his fear too much and it made him worse. But it worked like a charm for him when I used it. He was so calm he would fall asleep and not panic even when the thunder was so loud it shook the house.
