| My 14-week old pup sleeps the majority of the day - as did any other dog I ever owned - at any age. Someone told me that the amount a dog sleeps is dependent upon its environment. Dogs that are kept up, outside, and busy generally sleep very little during the day. House dogs in a more quiet environment sleep most of the day. If our little dogs are left with little to do - they will sleep a lot (which is okay). But don't we know, if we want them to get up and play -they are ready at a moment's notice and will play forever. Have you ever had your dog sleeping quietly in the corner - and jingled the car keys....or whispered, "Would you like to go for a ride?" You know what happens - they are up, excited, running all over, and ready to go! Pups (like babies) sleep a lot. I remember my little pup playing his heart out for half an hour and then sleeping for two of three hours at a time. He is getting older and is sleeping less now --but he still sleeps a lot. Don't worry about your dog sleeping --- enjoy! Carol Jean |

| Me again - It's very normal. Be glad he does it. Don't they look like little angels when they are asleep? And - I sleep more when I'm bored too. Carol Jean |
