| Curious about litter training Okay so this question pertains to 2 yorkies. The first. Rockie he is ours and almost 5mos old. He is house broken and lets us know when he needs to go out. The issue we have is that unless we take him under our one tree when its raining he wont go (by the time we make it there though we are pretty wet even though we dont get wet under it). I dont like how long he sometimes holds it because it is raining and that is why ive been thinking about litter training. The only thing is we never trained him with news papers, pee pads, etc. we had the help from our westie (who passed this yr from cancer) with house braking him since he learned from him u whine or go to the door u get to go out to the bathroom. And rockie is also crate trained. So my question is with him could he still be litter trained? And is there something else to use other then shredded news paper or pee pads (he shreds and sometimes tries to eat paper stuff)? I thought of the cloth pads you use as a cloth diaper but i dont want him to think then its okay to pee on a blanket etc. my husband said something about ceder chips, my only fear is if he would eat them my husband thinks that he shouldnt since it had a smell. Now the second yorkie im coowner of to help out my grandma since it is hers and my great grandmas. His name is yogi and is about 2mos old or so. The issue with him is potty training. I enjoying training dogs and usually have a dog housebroken in a week, but he has broke my record lol. I had him for a week when my grandma first got him cuz she had a knee injury. He doesnt tell u if he has to go sometimes u dont even know he is doing it. Hes getting better with not being so lazy lol i think the people before left their 2yr old feed him what ever cuz thats how he got his name reminded us of yogi the bear in search of his picnic basket (since having him and him realizing he doesnt get people food hes gotten semi better with not searching so much even after being full from his food). If i ketch him right when he starts to go in the house i take him straight outside (as of now my grandma has him full time and doing the tips i told her to do that i know worked in the past with other dogs). There are times hell go out never go (be out there 20+ mins) and then decide when we go back in oh ill just go here by my goals as i take a piece of food lol. He almost acts like he doesnt want to go out to do it (so i dont know if the breeder/family didnt inforce it when they took him out or didnt do anything when he went in the house which makes him think its okay). So my question is litter training him help with his house breaking? And the same questions about the material used, but with him unlike rockie he will try to eat anything he even tried to eat a piece of tape once. Thanks for all your help and glad i found this great forum dedicated to yorkies

| There is something called Ugodog that has worked well for us. What I like about this is that it keeps their paws clean. Here is where you can buy it. UGODOG Indoor Dog Potty:Amazon:Pet Supplies |
