| very long brag about my babies Hey everybody! We are on vacation in Florida with our dogs. I was worried all summer that it would be a disaster. They are not fully potty trained so I expected to have a potty nightmare. I also expected to be correcting Anna nonstop. My adult son and his wife are here and she is not used to them. I have actually had to correct my son more than Anna. We are potty accident free as of today!!!!! Yeah! We are even on the 14th floor. We take them out every two hours when we are in the condo and as soon as we return from the beach. I stand outside the door and listen when we leave and they bark for about 30 seconds. Then, all is quiet. They are in their play pen. I think this makes them feel more secure. They have met several other dogs and Barney has made all kinds of friends. When people reach to pet Anna, I ask them to please pet Barney instead. She has only growled a few times. No bites!!!! The only real issue we've had is that my husband has never had to leave them alone before because I am always at home when he leaves. It kills him to see Anna sad. So I have to make everybody else go out the door and then I put the dogs in the play pen. He refused to go to the beach the first two days because he didn't want to leave them alone. I keep reminding him that I will be returning to work in 3 weeks and they will be alone for several hours when I'm there. The 11 hour car ride here was a little rough. The vet gave me meds for the dogs. I may use those on the ride home. Otherwise, it has been wonderful. Thanks for letting me brag. I just can't believe how enjoyable it has been to have them here.

YT 2000 Club Member | I love that you took your pups on vacation with you! Mine are the love of my life and they have always vacationed with us. We go camping and stay at pet friendly resorts. We are not the tourist type family and just enjoy hanging out with each other. Boating, fishing, beach/water fun are high on our list of vacation activities. Your pups were so good because they were with their family.....like they should be!

| Thanks everybody! I know the reason that it has gone smoothly is because of the information I got here to help, such as leaving the fan and tv on when we have to leave them. Ha Beachdog! On the way here, I was actually trying to do the math to see how many of those little pills I would have to take. Maximo, after 23 years of marriage, I am still finding out things about him. I knew I was in love with my dogs, but I had no idea how much he cared about them.
