| Hello! I'm new here We just picked are new baby Laci up last week, she turned 13 weeks olds yesterday Sat. The vet said she weighed 1.3 Fri. What is the best way to calculate/ figure out her adult weight? Would it go by the growth chart or her parents size? Thank you Laci's mom |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Welcome to YT! There is no reliable way to guarantee / predict an adult weight. You can look at the chart and the weights of parents and grandparents, and that can provide a bit of guidance, but no guarantee. Another rule of thumb (also which is not accurate) is to triple the 8wk weight and double the 12wk weight. If you use that, it looks like your kiddo would be btwn 3-4 lbs.

| Hi and welcome to YT! Congrats on your new baby! As mentioned above, there really is no reliable predictor of adult weight. Double the 12 week weight and/or look at parents weight is a good guesstimate, but just like us people...you just never know for sure
