Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Hello and welcome to YT. There is a lot of wonderful info in our archives about training and vaccines. If you are looking for a pup please go to the YTCA website for reputable breeders or to a local shelter.

| Welcome to YT! There's a lot of info here about yorkies! You can search the forums for answers, and when you ask, you'll get many different answers from fellow yorkie owners. I'm not sure about prices for them, a reputable breeder will charge around 1000. to 1500. a pup. (I'm guessing) Once you find a pup, you need to take it to the vet, they will list the shots you need to get. Training... LOL! What kind? potty training? Tricks? I'd just read threads that interest you, learn from the site and ask if you have any questions.

| Hi and welcome to YT! Congrats on doing your research ahead of time. That is something many of us didn't do. You are already ahead of the game As mentioned above, just search in all the subforums (the sticky threads are a good place to start..those are the threads at the top of every subforum) and the archives. Then, just ask all your questions. We are happy to help. YTCA can refer you to good breeders in your area. You can contact them and inquire about prices. Yorkies need the same vaccinations as all dogs. I would search/inquire into vets in your area that are well aquainted with toy breeds if possible.

| Hi and Welcome! Its awesome your doing research before hand. A puppy from a reputable breeder will normally fall between $1,000 to $2,000. The ytca.org is a great place to find a breeder and get some information. I am a fan of positive training with treats and I think taking at least one puppy class with your puppy is really a great way to get you started and bond with your new puppy.

| Hi guys, Thank you for your warm welcome! really appreciated I've been wondering around the internet for more info and I found a nice website ( www.yorkshireterrier.co.uk ) and the info here seems legit. Also been looking for some training books and found quite many of them over amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_...ier%20training) What do you guys think? Can you recommend me something from that list or from another resource? Very excited about this!!!! Thank you sooo much! Evy |
