| Callie used it two different times and did ok on it. She has the best gag reflex though so giving her liquid can sometimes really suck when she gags it back up and in your face lol

| Mine was on it after her spay for a week. She was pain free, sleepy, and just didn't seem herself. She had to sit on my foot to eat, be beside me all the time- extra clingy. Mine also was showing pain- she whimpered A LOT when we held her during the 1st 24 to 48 hrs. She did let me brush her without biting the brush, which was nice!! If she's ok, then don't give it, IMO.

| Dogs are extremely good at hiding pain.

| I only kept mine on it for 5 days, then she seemed pain free on her own. I was giving it soon as she woke, then slowly made the time I gave her some later and later. She seemed ok without it, so I didn't give it to her. I would have at any moment if she seemed to be in pain.

| If you have Metacam, use that, not baby aspirin. I'd still just use as needed.

| This is used all the time. Aspirin is very irritating to dogs and shoud not be used. She is in pain whether showing it or not. The med should be given.

| Can I ask why she's on Metacam? I didn't see if she was on it for a spay or not. Thought I should ask, in hind sight.

| My old Yorkie Megan was on it for a brief period, she did well. Metacam is liquid version of Meloxicam, which is a anti inflammatory used by humans, I was on it for arthritis for 2 years. If she is fine without it then I wouldn't bother, but if unsure use for a couple of days. Cheers Quad |
