| Parti Yorkie Awkward Stage? So I have been looking for a wonderful Biewer or Parti yorkie to add to my family. I think I may have found the perfect girl, but before I pay for her I wanted to check with you guys. She comes with AKC papers and is 8 months old. I know yorkies can go though awkward stages around 8 months... anyway her hair seems a little thin to me. Do you guys think it will fill out? Also she is 3 pounds 9 ounces at 8 months do you think that is about her adult weight? I can't see her going over 4 pounds. So here is a picture of her from the breeder. I am also posting a picture from google that is not her. The google picture is the thickness I am looking for. So the mostly white yorkie looking in the mirror is the on I am leaning towards buying and the one on the red couch is of the fur thickness I am hoping for. Do you think the yorkie I am interested ins fur will thicken?

| So I guess I am just trying to figure out if she looks like she is an awkward puppy stage or if she has a poor coat. The breeder says that the father of the pup often sires dogs with thinner coats that really thicken out. Just wanted to get a opinion from the experts. I was really looking at how thin her little legs looks because her fur is so thin there! lol

| She is adorable. I don't know much about Partis, but I do know my younger Yorkie's saddle area was thinner at 8 months. It all comes down to an individual pup's genetics, so there are no rules that you can rely on. The best you can do is look at pictures of the parents, and ideally previous generations. As for size, that is another matter of genetics. My boys are brothers and their lines have late growth spurts. Teddy was slightly under 6 pounds at 8 months, and he is now 9 pounds full grown (developed a lot of muscle his second year).

| Is it just me or does it look like 2 different pups in those pics? One has a black spot on the side and also the white on the face is in a different place..?

| Thank you for the opinions! Yes I looked at the parents and they both have really nice thick coats. She is adorable - I am in love with her face. Just these parti yorkies are pricey!! Just want to make sure she is exactly what I am looking for.

I only put the comparison picture because when some people talk about wanting a thick coat they are referring to a super thick coat and I just want a average silky coat like the one on the red couch with the black spot. It looks like the girl I have the opertunity to buy has a pretty silky coat I am just wondering if anybody thinks it will fill out a bit. She just looks so patchy on her legs and back. I have heard yorkies go through an awkward stage around 8 months old though.

| My Parti's hair is really thick. Her sire's is on the thinner side. I can't really say if it will get thicker because Sasha was already fully grown when I got her. I'm actually hoping hers thins out a little lol!

| Yes she said thet were two different pups. The one the left is the one she is thinking of buying, but had question on it's coat. The on on the right is how she wants the coat to look. I do think she is cute, but with a coat you just never know how it may turn out. I guess it all in the genes.

| Have you seen the cutie in person? How has it come about that she is 8 months & for sale? Looks like her hair hasn't been combed, or that it's naturally "wispy". Good luck & keep asking questions!

| I'm sorry I misunderstood that these are pictures of 2 different dogs. Has the breeder provided more than the 1 picture? I would want more, preferably a plain photograph without the decorations. Best wishes in your decision.

I have not seen her in person, she is out of state. I have been looking around for yorkies for sale and she came up. I have been chatting with the breeder. I don't know what else to ask? Her hair might not be combed. I don't know. It just looks thin. Here is a pic of her sitting up. I mean I don't care if she has super thick hair I am just hoping it will thicken out and look normal? I have heard of yorkies going through goofy stages though and I was wondering if it looks like she could be going through a stage or if thats just her hair type?
