| How old is your Yorkie? Really!! This shows they are older than you think! Ever since Jill Ann was born (September 4th 2011) I have been keeping up with her age week to week instead of month to month. Well with doing that by the week, she will turn 1 year on July 14th, and 13 months 3 weeks and 3 days by September 4th. Now I am wondering just how old "I" really am!

| There's 52 weeks in a year... did you miscount? I'm not getting how your weeks are off, even if you go week by week. I'm sort of scared, I really don't want to be older than I am!

| The misconception comes in when we automatically think One Month = 4 weeks. This is not the case. Except for February on a non-leap year year, all months are longer than 4 weeks. So, going by months versus weeks ends up getting confusing. But as said above, One Year = 52 weeks. Just think, if you were counting your age in months, you would think that is 13 months a year @4 weeks per month. lol I think this is sort of why parents of human and animal babies eventually transistion from giving the baby's age from weeks then months then years.

| Mine is 13 weeks but if I go by his birthday he would be 3 months. So he's older if I count in weeks :-P

| This makes wonder when do you guys substitute the month as the age instead of weeks? Draco is 20wks but won't be 5months until the end of June. I feel like it's time I just go by months. I feel like after 20wks, it's kinda like when someone tells you their baby is 30 months old. haha I've actually asked the person why say 30months instead of 2 1/2yrs and they just said they didn't think of their child as that old, and wanted to keep them a baby lol.

| Going from weeks to months is the $64,000 question I think I quit counting Mandie's weeks when she hit 6 months because I asked the vet about spaying at 6 months and what I should go by..weeks or months. He said months.

| That's true. Sometimes I ask how old a baby or pup is and I get the weeks instead of months, and I have to stand there with a dumb look on my face for a few seconds to do the math. LOL It's worse when you ask how old their dog is, and they are like, Uh I dunno, like a year or so? omg you don't keep track? That's kinda sad.
