Going to see a one year old yorkie that needs a home

The owner says he's 3.5lbs but cannot send pics... Want to see if that's true so Im leaving in 5 mins, its a male and he's a year old. Will post up pictures soon, lets see if he's the right one!

Yes they don't have papers for him but they want $300 because they are moving (which is horrible) my husband is iffy.. Im going to take pics and post them up...

Hi. My concern about this kind of purchase - especially if he's a tiny - is whether there are underlying health issues. I'd want the dog carefully evaluated by a good vet before paying any money. If your vet gives the OK, then I'd probably pay $300. Yet understand that big big problems can come with any teeny tiny dog.

It's not a good idea to give one up for free. There are bad people out there. Some will come and get the dog and say that the dog will be theirs, but then turn around a sell it to make $$$. You have no idea where the dog will end up and how many homes it will go through. And then there are the evil monsters that will see a free dog and take it to use as a bait dog for dog fighting (shudder).

Putting a price on it ensures that the new owner believes to the dog to have value.

OP: I got my Chuy as a rehome ($250) when he had just turned a year old. He's been a great dog!

I was also thinking the same thing if you want a good home... Why charge $300 I think $100 is enough to show your interested and serious. We bought him... Pictures are not uploading, he's very sweet and calm. But when we walked inside the house he marked everything!! He's not fixed!! Whoa was not expecting that. Is the marking trainable, will it go away if I fix him. Don't want to crate him, maybe it's because it's a new environment

I completely agree, there was already another girl on the way to see him so I didn't want my opportunity to pass. He will be seeing a vet soon, all his vaccines are up to date. The guy was rehoming all his dogs so it didn't raise any flags buy your very right.
