did you see the comment above about shipping babies 8 weeks old?? that is a bad sign that baby could dehydrate and die in process of flying to its new home..does that sound like a good breeder to you???

As Deanna said, she ships 8 week old yorkies.
Any hreeder that does this is endangering the pups and they are NOT doing things correctly.

The problem is if they are ok with doing something like that then thy are not putting the safety of their dogs first. If safety does not matter to them then they are not doing things correctly.

I know that's why I mentioned to talk to the breeder about the age. We could pick it out and have it on hold till 12 weeks or older.

I don't know this breeder. I was interested in her biewer female that she has for sale. I steered away from this breeder when I saw on her site that she breeds yorkies, biewers & parti-yorkies. I want a biewer and I was concerned about it not being a biewer to biewer breeding. There was too much breeding of different 'types' of yorkies for my taste. I don't know how anyone could be an expert when breeding so many different types. And she says in the intro that she's been doing it for "a few years." What does that mean? I'd personally prefer more experience. I guess you have to speak with the breeder directly and do some more research. Buy ther breeder before the dog! Good luck. Tracey

I think the point is, that even if you can persuade them to hold on to a particular puppy until they are 12 weeks old before getting it shipped, it speaks VOLUMES that they are willing to ship 8 week old Yorkies in the first place. They don't care about the health of their dogs.

We're having a discussion about Parti-colored (and other off-colored) Yorkies in another thread, and some of us have come to the realization that even though some of these animals are AKC registered, it does not mean that they are purebred Yorkies--they may have some other breed in their ancestry. If you are looking for a pet quality dog, or if you don't care whether you are paying for a mixed-breed dog that is being passed off as a Yorkie, then go ahead and purchase from a website like this one. But if you want a purebred Yorkie or Biewer, then check out the breeder listings that are on the websites of the parent organizations for these breeds--I know you have already been given these links. And, you really do need to get to know the breeder personally before you make a decision--don't buy one off the internet sight-unseen.

idk the rest of what i read seems soso. she does wait till longer to send home depending on size....which i guess makes me feel a lil better and the dams are all of a healthy size and she has a health guarantee. i googled did not find any complaint threads. thats my three cents...still doesnt mean shes a good breeder which is such the challenge here i understand but its good you are making sure throughly before making any moves.

I found something else..the stud service. Current shots and STD testing is not enough to allow her males to breed with females. No health testing is required. Not good. She will also stud her males out to any other small breed female. Not good.

It says she vaccinates evety two weeks. Not good.

It looks like she may he trying to do things right but it does not appear to be working.

In my opinion no. She lets puppies go before 12 weeks and she breeds mixes. Reputable breeders breed to better the breed and sense mixed breeds are not a breed then it is impossible to do that.
