|  Why do people not understand?? On the flip side, I GOT MY YORKIE!!! My boyfriend actually found the breeder and we went and picked our little girl, Elle May!!!! Obviously, I have posted 100+ pictures on FB and you should see the comments I am getting!!! My own friends, who I thought would be as excited as I am, are making comments such as "looks good for a rat" and "get a dog you can do something with besides dress up"!!! But for more GOOD news, our GSD thinks Elle May is her own little baby!!! |

| People say that all the time, they mean it as a joke, but sometimes they go to far. People will say to me, my dog could have yours for lunch, little do they know how much that comment hurts since I did have a pup killed by a bigger dog. One time years ago shortly after this happened someone said that to me at a business dinner after talking about our dogs, it sent me from the table in tears, so I completely understand how comments meant in jest can hurt. But the good news is you have found Yorkie Talk so you can talk all you want here and no one will think you are a crazy yorkie mom, because we all are. | It's YOUR dog, YOUR home, and YOUR LIFE; why are you worried about what other people think? YOU like Yorkies and that's that. You can't live your life trying to please everybody, you're going to be miserable all the time, in life people will always find something they can point at. My friends think I am nuts for talking Yorkie all the time lol and I couldn't care less about what they think. I am going to take my puppy out on a stroller until he gets all the shots, sure people are going to say I am a "crazy dog lady" but do I care? uhmmm nope! i care about my puppy well being and how happy he's going to be going outside riding a stroller! :-P. It's a good thing you found this forum and you can come here and talk about your baby!  Welcome!

| I think many of the people thing they are being funny!! It is like hearing the same ole joke over and over. My dd made fun of me when I got Remy, two years later she HAD to have her own yorkie and now is the proud mother of Ace

| *sigh* Some folks just don't have a jerk filter, do they? People think they are being funny, but it's just rude! I've heard so many comments. "mop with legs" "yapping little ankle-biter" "Where's the rest of it?" "rat dog" Eventually you just learn to ignore them. You just can't fix stupid.

| Ughhh I hate that! I get the rat comment too! People really dont know what they are missing when they judge a yorkie! There are many breeds that I don't find attractive and wouldn't have the audacity to say rude things to them. People are weird I guess, different strokes for different folks! |
