| What is the difference btw a Yorkie and a Silky Terrier? Are Silkys more or less expensive than Yorkies? Are they the same size? From the pictures I have seen online Silkys look exactly like Yorkies to me. Are Silkys a rare breed like Biewers? |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Silkys are generally cheaper than yorkies...at least from what I've seen. Silkies are a totally different than yorkies...look alike in features but are a seperate breed. Silkies weigh much more than yorkies and are larger...have longer terrier noses and larger ears.

I would think they are around the same cost as a Yorkie. Remember, you usually get what you pay for,so do some research on the breeder . Good luck on your search. There are breeders around.

| A silky is a mix from Australia, which is a mix between an Australian Terrier/Yorkshire Terrier. These were brought home from Australia after the scond world war to Britain where it became a dog on the global AKC dog list,
