We brought our two border collies to agility class last night and one of the instructors just got a new 11 week old shelty puppy. We set up a pen and had Banana and the new puppy play.
At first my girl Banana was like "I don't think so, I am a special lap dog and I don't play." But a few minutes later they were both rolling around in the pen wrestling. Even know that shelty pup is twice the size of my girl and she is 14 weeks old now.
I have to say I was pleased that she held her own and even know she didn't have weight behind her, she sure has speed and attitude. By the end of the hour it was like, "I will rip your little ear off if you dare sniff my butt one more time". Lol she sure tuned him in!!!
Anyway when we got home at 7pm I fed her and she climbed up the puppy stairs onto the couch and snuggled in with me. She Never even made a peep till 9:30 this morning.

Ha it's 10am now and she ate breakfast in her kong toy. Now she is sleeping again in my lap.what a tired baby!

Oh, play dates are so great for them! They get exercise that they normally don't. Very good socially AND physically. You should keep that up - find some small dogs that Banana can have play dates with

After our Yorkie Meet-up on Saturday, Mandie slept like a log that night. It was so sweet

Awe...don't you just love it when they get to play with other puppies! It is so much fun to watch how timid they start out and then they turn into little furry tornadoes of mass chaos!

Yes my border collies go to agility on Monday and Wednesday night for an hour so banana will get to play with her new friend twice a week.

Speaking of Agility...are you going to get Banana involved later?

I am going to be setting up an agility course in my backyard for Mandie...probably within the next month or so. She is so athletic so I think she will excel at it and love it

Not sure. All the instructor ask me though. She is a fast little bugger, not sure I could keep up with her little legs. Lol
