| Anyone use a playpen while at work? Hi all, question for you guys. Anyone use a playpen like the one below to keep their puppy in while they are working or running errands etc? Any success or failures? Thanks ! image_zpsf3caae75.jpg Photo by Liberty1216 | Photobucket |

| Yes, I use an xpen it's metal. She isn't crazy about going in there during the day when we work but we put her bed, a pee pad and toys. I hate putting her in there too but it's just not safe right now for her to roam around the house while no one is home. She sleeps in there at night and doesn't mind that. |

| First of all your baby is precious omg!! And yes that's the only reason I am getting her one is because I'm so affraid that when I get her she will be too young to roam around . I was wanting that foldable one because it has a collapsible floor that's waterproof and I work 12 hour days Mondays and Tuesdays and my boss said I can bring her to work those days I was thinking that style would be easier to take in my car and if she doesn't go I the pee pad she won't ruin my boss' expensive floors lol |

| Yes, I have one. It worked great when she was younger and used to being confined, but now that she's had the run of the house for quite a while when I'm gone she hates it. I put her in it recently when I had a plumber in the house. Well, this is how I found it. She just wanted out of there!

| When Gracie was a pup I was home with her most of the time. I used a small bathroom that had been puppy proofed and a secure gate on the door when I had to be gone. I like the idea of a decent sized X pen. It is certainly better than a small crate. I do think that having a cover for the top is a good idea since these little ones sometimes climb as well as any cat thought of doing. |

That's true! AND: this climbing can be dangerous, too. A friend's baby Yorkie tried to climb out, got her leg caught and broke it in several places. Very traumatic for everybody. After I heard that story, I got rid of Pepper's X pen straight away. I would probably get a pen with a cover, if I really needed one. | |

| I have one like that for travel and it works out pretty good. It fits well in the bottom of my luggage so it can be checked when flying. However at home I use an infant pack n play. I removed the bottom and replaced it with a wood insert the same size. Then stapled a heavy waterproof tarp so it could be cleaned . I do use puppy pads to cover the whole area but have plenty of room for a bed and food and water dish. The mesh holes are too small for them to get nails in for climbing or teeth for chewing. You do have to make sure that they are not big enough to jump out, trust me, broken legs are not fun or cheap. For my jumpers pet smart have x-pens with bars so they can't climb. I believe they come in 2 different heights. With mine I use the extra large puppy pads. 2 pads will cover the entire area. The pens are heavy enough to keep them weighted down. Plenty of room for a bed and food and water bowls. |

| I'm sure even when they are older it will be fine, especially if they are use to it. Heidi was just being a brat! I actually really like it, I just let her get spoiled and not use to being confined, so really it's my fault.

| I bought one for Mia about a month ago, after much research, I decided on the one that zips at the bottom and top, I don't use the top, she isn't a climber thank goodness! She stays in it while we are at work and at night. There's plenty of room for her bed, puppy pad, toys and water bowl! She's ok with it, of course she's not wild about me leaving her period! We have come home and found the pee pads shredded and her little house looked like a tornado hit it, so I think she gets a little feisty realizing ill be gone for a while. I'm just hoping she gets more used to it as time goes on! |
