| Some anti-virus programs, such as Norton Antivirus, or McAfee will block YT chat (the chat is free from viruses or anything dangerous to your computer). That could be a reason you are unable to connect. McAfee blocks the IRC ports (which is what YT chat is on). So you need to uncheck the Prevent IRC Communication checkboxes if you use McAfee. See below picture. You also need to have Java installed. Firewalls (work or home) may also block you from chat. Good luck! Last edited by fasteddie; 12-22-2005 at 11:44 AM. |
