| Here Was A New One For Me!!!! I just received a call from a very nice lady that was looking for a female Yorkie FOR A CHARITY RAFFLE EVENT!!!!!!!!! Have never had that happen! Can you imagine?? Female Yorkie! $25.00/ticket, Raffle drawing April 30...a person in charge of such a "raffle" could easily rake in 3-5 thousand dollars if this goes thru a church or gets on FB!!!! I used the opportunity to try to do some educating....she was not interested and wanted to know if I knew anyone that would be interested in helping the charity by donating a Yorkie....I wouldnt even give her the name of people that are ? questionable breeders........ |

| People are so idiotic when it comes to dogs! What if the raffle winner had 2 toddlers and an infant and a fulltime job working!!! Or was a hoarder living in pizza boxes and dirty diapers! Ugh!!!!!!

| Could it have been someone making this story up to get a free puppy for themselves? |

| Someone who thinks a living creature, especially one as delicate and individualized as a yorkie is appropriate for a raffle???? Amazing

| Disgusting! Last year, a YT member found an advertisement for a raffle with a top prize of a Yorkie puppy. YT members wrote to the charity and begged them not to raffle the dog, and they were successful!

| Judy I Know what you mean ! There was a big stink when Movie Stars did that. Osborne got the dog. Darn I wish I could find that write up . Any way all of us on YT would think a Yorkie for a door prize or raffle prize is crazy ! People have to answer some basic questions before adopting a rescue. I had some one snap at me once, 'Why all the nosey questions ? God this is only a dog, I'm not wanting to adopt another a kid here !' I looked at the snot encrusted toddler and the bare footed baby in soggy diaper chewing a nasty cookie. Her boy friend went out to smoke dragging a sad looking little boy covered in ant bites with him. 'Just Call me when you got a really little one.' she said. When she was out the door, I tossed the application for a rescue in the trash. JUST A DOG , OMG No way was she getting one of ours !
