| Sophie Kate Loves The Beach We took Sophie Kate on her first beach vacation this weekend to Destin Florida. Sophie Kate had a BLAST!!! She loves the beach, tolerated the water (her legs got a little wet from a large wave crashing the shore). We spent about an hour and half on the beach where she dig in the sand, made a hole and sat in it (repeat). Tried to dig a moat around me and ruined my friends sandcastle (she noted someone else diggign and promptly went over there and destroyed the starts of a good castle). Will post pictures later but I highly recommend a beach vacation if possible for your Yorkies. They have fun, it tires them out and can uncover all their fabulous digging skills.

| Oh and I forgot to add she got thrown off the beach by the Walton County Sherriff. Some silly law saying you have to be a Service Dog to go to the beach, she was so insulted she pee'd on the beach while he was explaining the law to me hmmmph.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Aw, it sounds too fun!! Mine haven't been to the ocean, but the LOVE the lake. Getting the sand out of mine after they fetch in the beach/lake is a mess...how were yours with the sand, did a lot end up in their fur?

| Oh heck yes, I had to bath her and all the sand she ate (oh yes she did) came out the next day as pure sand which freaked me out a little. I was worried the salt water would make her itch so I gave her a bath right away.

| HA HA Take that, you law man! Zeus has been to the beach once and it was really cold...so I can't tell if he liked it or not. I'm so glad to hear that she enjoyed it. Hopefully you can go to the coast again and find dog-friendly beaches

| The Best places and beaches allow dogs ! There are pet friendly beaches. I take mine when ever we go to the beach. They even have swim suits LOL (the girls) The boys go naked. Of course I leave no trash or poo. My dogs are better behaved than my grandchildren. I have been asked to leave a public beach once, but it was NOT posted as not pets allowed. What in the world are they worried about ? Bites ? What about sharks and jelly fish, geepers give me a dog any day .

| My two love the beach too! It is so much fun to watch them just ruuuuun... The sand is a big of a pain, but most of it rinses out in the tub.
