I'm like 90% sure she is but her ears don't stand up like ive seen some do is that normal? Even so I love her a lot, oh and shes pregnant! . Oh and sorry for her messy hair! It looks better in person but she wouldn't let me do it haha. |

| Welcome to YT. Lots of good information to be found here. Kiki is cute as can be. Was she a rescue? I'm assuming she was pregnant when you got her? If you are not already established with a vet, I would get her in to see one immediately & get her and babies checked over and start working on your game plan for when she delivers and when you can get her spayed afterward. I suggest visiting the breeder portion of YT. Those members will have invaluable information to help you. Good luck and keep us posted. Oh, and many yorkies have floppy ears...

| Hi, Welcome to Yorkie Talk! Kiki is so cute. She looks "Yorkie" to me. Not all Yorkie's have ears that stand up. I personally think floppy ears are adorable. I'm concerned about your fur baby though. How did she come to be yours? Do you know when she is due? Has she been to the vet yet? Do you know who the daddy is? I'm just worried it may have been a bigger dog, and that she would have trouble delivering her puppies. Do you have experience delivering pups? It's so difficult to take in a pregnant female, and I admire you so much for taking on this dear little girl and giving her a home. Please stay with us. There is so much good information here, and we LOVE puppy pictures.

| We got her from this lady who couldn't have her anymore. She was in heat and her other dog kept trying to mate with her. When we got home with her I was trying to keep my dog and her apart but then my sister left the door open and I didn't even know. I walked in on them stuck together. I promise I'm not a byb! I was told to book an emergency spay but I would never abort the puppies. Nothing I can do now but I do feel bad. Ive been reading all about it though. Her previous owner said shes had a liter before so hopefully that makes this one easier. Shes due march 23. When there born were gonna make sure they go to great homes. She mated with my shih tzu and hes not that big. Any advice? |

| Oh and another question, is it normal for her nipples to get bigger while in heat? |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | After the first heat the nipples do not lay flat against their stomach and if she's pregnant you will see swelling beneath them.

| congrat's Congrat's on your new addition, she is a cutie. I would take her to the vets for xray to see how many she may have. not knowing can be trouble during her whelp so you know if she has them all. I'm sure there are breeder's on here with better information then I can give. She is a cutie, Me personally I would spay her after she deliver's. Wishing you luck on a good whelp. Keep us posted as we love to hear about and watch the puppies grow. Will be keeping you in my prayer's. Anne/Luci |

| If she is under 5 pounds you need to go ahead with an emergency spay because having puppies puts her life in danger. You need to go to the breeders section here and some of the breeders can offer you more assistance. Also please get you male neutered ASAP so you don't have any more accidents.

| She is very cute...when I first rescued Foxy she was pregnant and we had to do an emergency spay, her health was more important to me than the trama a pregnancy would due to her. She was in very bad shape, I felt guilty for aborting the puppies, but in the end it was the right decision . I also knew nothing about raising puppies, etc...so it was the best option for us.

| I may have missed it, but what breed of dog did she get pregnant by? (EDIT TO ADD: nevermind..sorry..I saw it was the shih tzu. Why are they recommending an emergency spay? Abort the puppies to save her life is that is what the vet is telling you to do, please) I'm so glad you came to YT and welcome to the forum. Please know that we all love Yorkies very much so anything we say or ask is with the pup's best interest at heart. Also, from the pics, she looks all yorkie to me..with some wavy curls. But can't really tell without a full body shot and knowing stats like her weight and such. How old is she?
