J woke up from his nap so I took him outside to pee and I brought him in immediately as I needed to pee myself. He sat on the bathroom floor and watched, then I opened the living door to take him back in so we could play he barked which he very rarely does unless excited about a toy he is chasing.

So I said 'do you need poo poo?'
He ran over to the cabinet in which we keep the torch and poop bags and barked again before butting his nose against it.
I took them out and walked toward the front door where he laid down on the floor mat, grabbed his ball in his mouth and the second I opened the door he jumped out turned around, with the ball still in his mouth and did a poop!
As I cleaned it up, he licked my other hand, nudged his ball and went to the spot where he normally does his poop and did a happy little rumble of 'talking' before nudging to door to be taken in.

Haha, he knew what he wanted and when he wanted it, huh? Really made me laugh! Clever pup.

LOL they are so very clever. Anyone who says animals can not communicate has never met a Yorkie!

Wow. He is training you very well! Sounds like a very smart little guy. He is going to be a really good little guy for you.

Smart guy. The key is figuring out when they come up to you whether they want to go potty or play. Now I just ask if he want's to potty and if he takes off running . . . . I know.
