| What's the general consensus on bullysticks? Hi there, Knowing that raw hides are not a safe choice, I was wondering if bully sticks are a safe alternative? If not, what do you all give your dogs to chew? Thanks for your input |

| Bully sticks are 100% digestible but they still need to have an eye kept on them when they are chewing I think they are great. I would only buy a few to start and see if it agrees with your babies tummy. I get mine from bestbullysticks.com.

| I like them because they seem to last forever. Some of the babies have tummy upsets with them. Some people hate them so it usually is a try and see if it works for you. I never leave mine unattended with anything they chew on unless it is a stuffed toy or something like that.

| agreed. i never leave mine unattended. toss when they get about 2 to 3 inches...and if they get soft with too much length while being chewed on i cut it off. i order mine from best bully sticks and so far have not had any issues.

YT 2000 Club Member | Max and Teeka love bully sticks! Teeka is 6 months and loves to chew on them. They have had no tummy upsets and really don't have much of an odor. I buy the bigger, thick ones as they last longer. Other than toys, It is now the only chew, they get!

| I've been buying the 12" ones from best bully sticks that are a little thicker than the regular ones. I like the longer/thicker ones because they do seem to last a little longer and since I throw away the last 2-3 inches I get more for my money. One of mine is an agressive chewer and can go through one pretty quick, so I set the timer and let mine chew for 15-20 minutes a day. My Moka will be 7 this year, and Mylee will be 4. Neither one of mine have yet to need a dental and I do credit the bully sticks for their healthy teeth and gums. My vet always comments on how amazed he is that my girls' teeth look so good. However, as others have said, I always supervise with them.

| My guy loves them so I buy 50 at a time. If you even say bully stick he goes crazy and runs to the cabinet where they are kept and starts jumping up and down.

| Part of the reason I limit the time with mine is because also because of tummy upset, but just a few minutes each time doesn't seem to bother them. Just a thought for those that get tummy upset easily.

| My boys LOVE them, to me, they stink and are expensive, but I know they are digestible unlike rawhide and they keep my boys entertained on their own so I can do housework or work work from home for a couple hours without tripping over them at my feet or whining for me to pick them up! So.. me... I LOVE THEM!!! LOL

| Bailey prefers antlers. Some say they hurt teeth. So far Bailey loves them. I believe there are varying degrees of hardness. The antlers are shed so it's pretty natural and it sure saved our home from being eaten alive while Bailey was in his "informative" years. |

| Amy loves them with Himalayn (sorry can't spell it) a close second. Started out with the 6 inch ones but have graduated to the 12 inch ones. Do buy the odorless ones. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Ha ha much cheaper than having the walls redone! My two love Merrick Bully sticks, and they chew them about an hour each night while were watching TV and before they crash. I really do think they are good for the teeth and gums and help fill the dogs chewing need.
