| I messed up Joel was doing fine hearing the fireworks, he would look at me, I ignored him and he would just lay down. So then he wanted to go potty so I went out with him since the fireworks slowed down and were far away, and suddenly there were HUGE fireworks right behind our house and even worse he saw them, he FREAKED and ran to the house shaking and crying. I feel so bad for taking him out and now I ruined him forever with fireworks. For all I know he thinks I did it, and now he'll probably never go in the backyard Anyway sorry for rambling on, I just feel so sad..... |

| Aww. Poor guy. Maybe try taking him out and totally distract him with treats and play and he will think positively about the yard again. |

| ..... and don't forget to make sure he has his collar & iD tag on !!!! During fireworks displays so very many people lose their pets because they are scared and just run.... Sorry your puppy had a bad experience.

| Don't beat yourself up about it. Like others said, just make the outside fun for him again and he'll forget about it..he likes the outside so much that I'm sure he will still want to be out there.

| Thanks eveyone He went right outside and didn't even act different, lol. Now Rosco is the one acting scared haha, he never goes upstairs, only if there's fireworks, balloons or bubbles. Now he'll be upstairs for a few days unil he stays downstairs lol |

| Happy New Year to you all. I'm happy to hear Joel has selective amnesia Poor Roscoe. Has he been scared by the fireworks in the past?

| Trama happens, get him right back on track right away. You have to forgive yourself and not show him your guilt he might take it as a fear indicatir from you abd he can feed off it. I knicked Princess' ear with the trimmer as a pup, took her to our groomer to check it (retired vet tech)does she whipped out clippers I was like no she'll be scared...and said exactly, so let's get her over the fear with a positive experience right away! Buy a new toy or take one give treats make it a fun new experience...last night is in the past leave it there.

| Dang! Missed your update! Oh well I'll share again... Scoobers' first 4thbaby of July we took him to the city show he sat in the car, I gave him several Dogswell Mellow Mut jerky sticks...well I left the bag on the seat and he ate the half a bag entirely! He was laying upside down in the back of the truck enjoying the show with us by the time it started. Unfortunately Dogswell shipped their production to China so we no longer buy their products which used to be great.
