| Mushrooms growing in grass How well should I be wiping paws after they go pee in the grass? Our lawn doesn't have mushrooms, but two houses down theirs does. I try to keep them off that particular lawn but you know how it is. And I know mushrooms spread via spores, so potentially they are airborne, right? I wipe with baby wipes afterwards, but should I be rinsing their paws instead. It's so annoying when people don't take care of their yards, and of course the dogs always want to go to the messiest one. Uni walked to the 4th house down who never even mows their yard, and walked through a bunch of dandelions growing there and I just spent about 10 mins picking out all those little furry seeds out of her hair.

| I just assume mushrooms are poisonous unless they are from the market LOL. Once Uni got sick and I took her to the vet. I did mention that I saw the lawn had mushrooms and maybe she licked her paws and got sick, but the vet shook his head like no I don't think so. But still, I worry. We've had quite a bit of rain for CA the last few weeks, so weeds and mushrooms are growing like crazy here now.

| What if they step on spores and then lick their paws? That's my question. When I was a kid I loved to smash mushrooms that grew on the lawn. That's how they spread too.

| Ugh, mushrooms are bugging me, I 've been worried about this here in N. CA, too! Mushrooms started popping up on everyone's grass last week and I 'm afraid P -Nut will grab one before I see it. Right now, we're sticking to the sidewalks and street except for brief "visits" to grass I've made sure is safe. Still wiping his feet every time we come back inside ... |

| This time of year I use Chris Christenson's Show Off spray cleaner on Gracie's feet and legs. We have leaves all over the place and with the dampness there is always the possibility of mold spores being on the leaves. She loves going out so I hate to stop the walks and I don't want to bathe her everyday. Show off comes in a 16oz bottle and works great. Where there are mushrooms there very well could be mold spores. |
