| New to site and my first post I joined this site because this is my first Yorkie. Max is 10 months now and is very stubborn I never thought a dog so small can be this stubborn but loving. He was easy to train to use the bathroom outside but now he has started to mark the house . Now getting him to stop marking my house has been real hard. So far I have bought the no marking spray from petsmart and its been working on the spots he has marked already but now he is marking new areas. help! |

| I'm going to ask the same question... Is he neutered? If he is, you need to start him all over with potty training... Keep him contained in an expen if you can't keep an eye on him and let him out every two hours and right after he eats. My two are 4 and 2.5 and still don't have full run of the house for more than a couple hours because they will have accidents.

| No he is not neutered. I made an appointment for next week with his vet. When he gets neutered will it stop him from being playful? I love that he is playful and full of life. |

| People kept telling me mine would calm down not be as hyper or playful after he was fixed... They lied lol he was the same puppy that same night as the surgery never even slowed him down.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Welcome! Hopefully the neutering will help with the marking. Yorkies can be stubborn little ones. I am retraining all 3 of mine and their 5, 6 and 7 years old.

| Welcome to YorkieTalk! Neutering will help him stop marking. I don't think neutering necessarily calms them down I think it just coincides with them getting older and out of puppy hood.
