| Booties for going outside? So, it's getting colder and the ground is frosting up outside. Our 18wo Biewer doesn't like the cold, frosty grass, so he's been taking to peeing on the patio instead of the grass outside. Thinking about booties for him, but thinking it would be a pain to put them on every time we go out. Do you think he would keep them on in the house if we wanted to leave them on? He's very "puppy" and chewing on everything, so I worry he could just try to chew on them and ruin them. Any advice??? What do you do for your little yorkies and going outside in the cold weather? Thanks in advance! |

| YT'er Karen at AllDogBoots is the lady to contact - she's so helpful Harry being Harry......well, he won't wear anything on his body, let alone his feet So when the ice and snow come here, I use Mushers Secret on his paws. It goes on like a wax but really sinks in, so doesn't leave a greasy trail around the house! I've found it works perfectly - by the way, I get it from Amazon. Good luck! Sally + Harry x |

| Guinness loves anything that is clothing, but I warn you the longer he wears his shoes the more he becomes a Frito smelling puppy lol

| Guinness always cracks me up. What a cutie! I tried the booties on Mandie, but she just turns to a statue and won't move. It's like they have magic powers. I always threaten to put them on her when she won't wind down at night and go to sleep. LOL I think the key to them is to put them on a little while at the time in the house (before going outside in them) and reward and praise and play while they are on. I will be honest, I haven't tried this yet because I wasn't in a hurry..she does fine outside right now. Lately, I see her picking one foot up sooner when we go out so I'll be trying this technique over this weekend...

| I like the Mushers Secret. Gracie is OK wearing socks in the house because the floors get cold in the winter. She goes outside in the winter barefoot if the snow is not too deep and it's not snowing hard or sleeting. She walks fine on the cold ground but we stay mostly on the walks or pathway. I do keep her away from any salted areas. She loves it outside so much I guess she doesn't mind the cold ground. I do put a coat on her though. When we come inside she lays on her heated throw to warm up. |
