| Scan My Pet Pls Good Morning Yorkie Lovers!!! I just wanted to share a new Yorkie Product I found at the Atlanta Pet Expo, dog tags with a QR code. What the QR code does is when scanned with a mobile phone application brings up a web page with your contact information along with limited information on the dog. I bought two of these for Sophie Kate, one for her collar and one for her harness. You can read more about them at www.scanmypetpls.com I hope this is not a violation of YT Rules, if it is I apologize in advance.

♥Love My 3 Furrbutts♥ Donating Member | Great idea, is this available in Canada...in your opinion, if the pet is already microchipped is this worth it? Tags can be removed, where as a microchip can't

| Cool idea! And that's true about the tags being removable but it's a lot quicker for someone to use their smartphone (a LOT of people have some type of smartphone) on a dog tag than to locate a vet office or shelter to scan a microchip if they even know to look for one. Ill have to look into these! |

| Yes it is worth it along with Microchipping (in my opinion), I have Sophie Kate done with both. Hopefully if she were ever lost someone would look for her owner. Having the QR along with Microchipping is a benefit in my opinion, as mentioned most people have smartphone and maybe they would scan the tag. I should add that I also have a tag with her name and my cell phone number. I guess my thoughts are you cannot have to many ways to identify her owner.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I agree. I think it should be with a tag with a name and number too. Like my DBF he does not have a smartphone. So if he found the pup he could scan it but would be able to call the person that he found the dog. I would rather call the person directly then taking the dog the the shelter. |
