My furkids Donating Member | on my way to drop Bentley off for his neuter.. and I'm and NERVOUS WRECK!! He's a tiny little guy,11 months old and just barely 4 lbs. I trust my vet 100% but still am nervous! I am bringing one of his favorite toys and one of my old bathrobes for him to lay on. He gets very scared and shakes when he's in an unfamiliar place. I hate the fact he has to be put under...He will be staying at the vets all day....I will be picking him up around 6 tonight...It's going to be a long day for me! I've always had females....Is this surgery easier on males than females? I'm SURE he isn't going to want the E collar on...any suggestions as to what I could use on him so he can't get to the incision? with the girls I just cut a sock and pulled the band up over their incision...not sure if this would work for a male...all suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Please keep my little man in your thoughts this morning for a safe surgery Thank you Brenda and Bentley

| cedric actually didnt bother his too much. if we saw him go to lick we would tell him no and we really had no issues to use a collar on him. i believe it is easier for the boys. i will keep him in my thoughts for a safe procedure and speedy recovery. try to stay busy and distracted!! good luck bentley.

My furkids Donating Member | Thank you ladies! I HATED leaving him there!!! They are all SO good and know me! LOL...Bentley will be spending the day there as I go to work for 2 and get out at 6 tonight...I feel it's better to leave him there....just in case! He was so scared...I felt so bad...he's probably wondering why his skin mom is leaving him...they told me he would be done around 10 this morning and will call as soon as he's out of surgery....its going to be a LOOOOOOONNNGGG day for me! They use sevoflourine...which is expensive but, is one of the best to use...they wake up right away once oxygen is applied....they told me I am going to have to keep him quiet for a few days!!!! LOL! That's NOT going to be easy....he's a very rambunctious little guy... Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers..
