| How many hours a day should a 7 wk old puppy sleep I have a new puppy that seems to sleep all day and is fidgety all night. How many hours a day should she sleep? |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Most Yorkies shouldn't leave their mom and littermates till 12 weeks, I would guess your little one is lonely. Seven weeks is so young, you might get a better answer in the breeder’s forum, pet owners don't usually have a dog that young.

These babies need to stay with Mom until at least 12 weeks old. 7 weeks is awful young, but what is done is done. You just need to make this baby is eating enough and doesn't have a low blood sugar episode that could cause real problems.

| You have an infant there. Treat it like an infant. As already stated it should be with it's mom and litter mates. Needs someone to cuddle with and proper feeding. Very sad that people sell puppies at that age. |
