![]() My pup is 11 weeks old and has been with me for almost two weeks now. I am waiting on his second set of vacinations before I bring him out and walk him. When anyone comes over to my apartment he hides, gets shy or gets agressive and groans. He also doesn't want to held and touched by other people. How can I help him adjust to other people? ![]()

![]() Awwww....it's a whole new world for your Littlie - and it WILL take time ![]() With all the dogs I've had, before their shots were all done, I'd carry them out for quite a long walk every day. In that way, they can (safely!) get used to the sights, smells and sounds of everyday life....so much easier with a Yorkie than with a Boxer or Labrador!! ![]() It might be also quite scarey for your Littlie, with loads of new people wanting to pet and cuddle him. It might be worth introducing new friends one at a time - and get them to get down to HIS level - preferably with a tiny treat in an outstretched hand (so that they can have a little tickly rub under his chin). Good luck - it will work out ok in the end! ![]() ![]()

![]() It took Jaeger 2-4 weeks before he wanted to cuddle. I seriously think he was upset that we took him from his siblings. One thing we used to do is take him EVERYWHERE with us, even before his shots. If we went grocery shopping, my Sir stayed in the car with the pup while I shopped. He was never without human supervision, but could check out all the sights and sounds from the parking lot.

![]() Just give it more time. Jaeger misses his pack and the new sounds and smells are so frightening. He'll be fine in time.
