| Yorkie has gone very quiet We have had our 9 month old yorkie for 2 weeks now, and i've noticed over the past 2 days she seems to have gone very quiet, and she seems to look a bit sad. We have tried to give her lots of attention, and cuddles but she don't seem to want to know. Just tonight, she has gone off in to my passage and lay down in there. She usually snuggles next to me on the sofa. I've tried to bring her in with me but she keeps getting up and going back to lie in the passage. As i'm quite new to yorkie's, i'm unsure what could be wrong with her?...She's never been like this since we have had her. Also, she don't seem to want to go out either and she usually loves her walks. She is eating, and drinking plenty. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Wow, this is hard, it sounds like she could be in pain, dogs do their best to hide pain. She's eating so that means the pain isn't too horrible, I wonder if her knees could be bothering her? Have you ever had her tested for LP? The only other thing I can think of is has she been spayed, female dogs get moody when they come into season or are in heat. Some females lick themselves clean and you don't even know they are bleeding.

| She hasn't been spayed yet, and also, funnily enough has been licking her self pretty much constantly for the past few days. I have had a look, and i can't see any blood down there though. I've not had her checked for LP, do you think if she is no better tomorrow to maybe give the vets a call?...When i look at her, my heart sinks. She looks soo sad!...She is lay on her bed at the moment, and since we got her she has never bothered with her bed. |

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | Has there been any change in your home or home routine? THings like that can affect the way a dog acts or react to the change. Could be that she is in heat, keep checking her. It could also be a GI track issues or any other number of things. If you think it could be something serious dont wait to take her in to be seen. I hope she feels better soon.

| I don't think there has been any change to our routine. I have just offered her a treat, and she ate it, then went back in the passage to go and sleep. As i said earlier, it is just very out of character for her. She is usually very lively, and i've never seen her like this since we bought her. I have tried to get her to come for cuddles but she's not interested at all. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply! |

My husband has just taken her for a short walk to see if she needed to do anything, and she seems to have livened up a little. She's still quiet, but not as bad as she has been. | |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | How long does the cycle last and do they have cramps? I've never had a female dog.
