| Yorkie Sizes Just wondering what the average Yorkie size is. I know AKC's standard says they must not weigh more then 7 lbs, but wondering how many are as tiny as my little Benji, weighing in at about 3 lbs, and I know I've seen quite a few Yorks over the AKC's acceptable 7 lbs.

| Roxy is my petite girl around 3.5 generally- 4.25 presently. Lucy should be 6.5 pounds- Presently 8 pounds. Cozy should be 10.5 pounds- Presently 16. With Zoey being sick I let their weights get away from me. They are all porky Yorkies right now. They need Jenny Paw. For their healthy I need to get Lucy and Cozy's weights down. Roxy will lose the additional weight quick she is very active and won't be eating/sneaking the very fatty kidney dog food anymore. Zoey at her best was 5.75 pounds.

| Georgie is averages between 3.5-4lbs. The most he has weighed in 4.2 lbs. I love him to pieces but would prefer more weight on him since I worry so much!

| Yorkie Talk has a strong showing of "Teapot" Yorkies, but my guess is that the majority of Yorkies are under 7 pounds. I believe this because I have met lots and lots of people while taking my 8 and 9 pound boys various places and they all say, "They are sooo big!" I have only met 1 person who told me that their Yorkie is bigger.

| Lucy is about 6 lbs but has gained weight since her bladder surgery and the new, prescription food ~ which she LOVES and chows down. She should probably be about 5 lbs; I'm going to have to widen her harness!

| ZoE is about 8.2 lbs and she's HUGE! She's long and she's tall. She's not fat at all...just a BIG yorkie. Her breeder had expected her to be right around 6lbs and I could see the look in her eyes when she last saw her, that she was really surprised about how big ZoE grew. I blame it on the water. My son is bordering on 6'4"...almost a whole foot taller than me....it's gotta be the water, right???

| I have a 7 lb male and a 5 lb female. I see both bigger and smaller yorkies around here, so I don't know what the average is.
