| How do you exercise your Yorkie Bailey has an abundance of energy. So I try to get some of that out of him before we go upstairs to work. He has a couple of squeak toys he prefers so I use them. I start squeaking one of them and then throw it from one end of the house to the other. Once he chases it and brings it back, I throw the other one. We do this over and over until he finally says: "Ok I'm done with your stupid game. I'm taking a nap." It's 9am CST and he's behind me on a chair in my office sawing logs. What do you guys do? |

| We have a large fenced in yard for our dogs so the little ones get most of their exercise running around there.. |

| A good effective way to exercise your dog in the house is to have one of you sit at the top of the stairs and the other at the bottom. Throw your dog's favorite toy back and forth and watch your yorkie chase it. After about 5-10 minutes your yorkie will be tired and panting and it is a great exercise for them. |

| Sophie and Bailey have the same workout! She likes to chase a squeaky toy i throw as far as i can across the house and repeats this game of fetch (with her tail wagging like crazy) until she is pooped...she then drinks a gallon of water and plops in her bed for a 2 hour nap! |

I'll do the same with Gabby and her squeaky toys.At times she will play tag with the cats and this will really wear her out. If u need to work, then u may want to get up a little early and go for a walk and then come home and play with the squeaky toys. | |

| Same here - daily walks and playing with toys. Incidentally, the daily walks are good exercise for me as well. |

| Lots of walks - I try to take him on walks 4-5 days a week. We have to go up to the park 5 mins from our house with some nice trails since we're not in a neighborhood. We do have 90 acres of farmland behind us, so a few times a week we go exploring thru the woods and that's our walk and tires him out like crazy - running thru the woods, going in the creek, the long grass, etc. He gets to drag a 50ft leash around for this, as I like to be able to pull him out of places if necessary. Ummm, well, about 3 nights a week, we stay at my dads house while I'm taking classes so he gets freedom in their fenced in yard with their two dogs - he runs sprints for about an hour each day over there (he chases me at FULL speed, LOL... 18-20mph, while I ride the quad by the fence). Also leashed walks over there too. Oh and the swimming pool all summer - he swims ALL summer long literally. Dog park. We hit up the dog park 1-3 times per week, depending. Playing inside - we'll do a bit of fetch on a rainy day down the long hallway, or I'll make him go up/down the stairs. Probably about once a week, I take him out on the long line to play frisbee (he's learning, so I like to be able to pull him back to me when I want him to return the frisbee and not sit there and CHEW it, lol). Ummm, I mean, I'm sure there's lots of other stuff, but that's the basis. Oh yeah we go to downtown Annapolis once a month or so and walk around lately. Yeah, he's spoiled as crap.

| We do walks at the park or the treadmill. She walks great on the treadmill, but I have to walk with her. Then she gets a little treat.

| A normal evening with Max and Abby - They go for a walk, then they play together for awhile, then Max chews on a chewy and then konks out. Abby, eh, well, she plays fetch with her ball for hours. She never seems to run out of energy. But, when it's bedtime, Abby goes straight to sleep. And then we start all over at 4:30 am! |
