| 6 to 7 lbs is not really big for a Yorkie - that's just about right. The standard says they should not be over 7 lbs. I think. Do you have a picture of him now to post? Likely if it is a Yorkie he's through growing but he could gain weight depending on what and how you feed him, activity levels or particular medical problems. Some even purebred Yorkies have ears that don't fit the standard or very long legs or really short or long muzzles or their color is not correct to standard. Is his coat flat and harsh in texture without growing out at all or soft, silky, sleek or cottony & fluffy?

hi , first i would love to see a pic of your yorkie. 6-7 pounds is a normal weight for a yorkie. Actually they come in all shapes and sizes. At 13 months he should not gain any more weight unless he is fed incorrectly. 7 pounds is still a tiny dog. If you could post a pic it would really help people in giving thier opinions. | |

| I've never seen a Yorkie whose ears weren't pointy. Floppy, yes, but never one with round ears. So he might be a mix. That's a normal weight though. |

| Yorkies come in all shapes and sizes and some have pointy ears others don't. If you ask me they are all SUPER CUTE Georgie is small only 4lbs but I can tell you he has worried me for 6 years because of his weight. He is just so small. I don't understand people who specifically want a furbaby to be so tiny as there can be so many more complications. Take a look around here you will see plenty of differences in all of our furbabies but one thing we all have in common we love them regardless Post a pic so we can see. Also does your furbaby have a name?
